My Sunday

Date: Sunday, April 23, 2006.
Destination : Sariaya, Quezon
Purpose: Attend a wedding.

This was an invitation two weeks ago. And since it was my beau’s mom who invited me, I couldn’t say no. Well, actually, I refused the April 15’s family swimming at Bulacan coz, I am restless after Visita Iglesia on Maundy Thursday and Way of the Cross on Good Friday. So I really have to make it this time.

I actually set my cell’s alarm at 2:00am since we will leave at 3am. But Tita Lolly woke me up at 1:30 am. I only had 2 hours and 30 mins sleep. L

So, I took another shower and dress up. Put on my blue blouse and white pants. The same pair I wore way back 2004 as my Elegant Casual outfit for our Christmas party. So this was just the 2nd time I wore them again.

At pass 3, Me, Tita Lolly and LA were off the road. A few chit-chat inside the car and then….there was I, snoozing, trying to hit dreamland despite of the bumps and thuds of the car.

Next thing I knew, the sun was slowly creeping, inching way up, flinging warm rays, bringing light to the sleeping fields of Lucena. I attempted to steal its beauty. But I was too darn sluggish to get my camera inside my bag.

At pass 6am, we hit Sariaya. 8am was the wedding, so we just went to the reception to meet the couple. Anthony Reception Hall, 5km away from the Protestant Church (UCCP). When we arrived, we were all baffled. It was not the typical reception halls we see here in Manila. Well, it was way too far from what I expected. I thought my attire was just plain and simple. But it appeared I was overdress as a guest. Well, Tita’s dress and LA’s semi Barong were just perfectly fine since they were both part of the entourage. Good thing, I had slacks than a dress or skirt. But still, people gazed at me as if I am a celebrity. Duh! I should have brought my signing pen with pink glittering fur on the tip. Hehe.

Do I look like one?

Ok, actually, I am a celebrity…NOT but a make up artist wannabe. Used, the ever reliable eye shadows and foundation courtesy of my ever generous Ate Mae. *wink*
Well, the reason being why I was invited to this affair was to be Tita Lolly’s make up magician…and not a make up artist…hehe

Put on my prowess to make Tital Lolly beautiful but the colors I chose was too light that it doesn’t appear vivid on the camera. Well, Free service doesn’t always come that good. Hehe

Nwei, during the mass, two angels caught my attention. Wanting to capture their innocence and endearing wit with my humble Canon Camera. Boy, I really wanna be a photographer. Given a chance, I wanna learn Photography. And I will try to buy and invest a real camera with long lenses plus other accessories to capture breath taking smiles, faces, sceneries, events, etc. Hah, the passion for pictures is really running in my veins.

And so here they are.

And there she was, the young bride. She loves to go back and forth the isle while others were busy taking pictures at the altar. And she was too bouncy that whenever I found her in a perfect angel, she just moved in a quick span.

Well, here were some of few chances I caught her idle.

And, after the normal ceremonies done in wedding receptions, we tried to stay a little longer and mingle with the crowd. At pass 1 PM, we bid our last “Congratulations and Best Wishes” to the newly wed, Rowel and Mary Flor.

On our way back to Manila, Tita was hunting for the Virgin Coconut Oil from Quezon tipped by one of her acquaintance that were really good. So we tried stores and stalls but to her despair, found only Flavored Lambanogs, fruits and other Quezon Delicacies.

At almost 4PM, my feet finally touched Caloocan. And since it was Sunday, I attended the 4PM Mass to complete my duty as a Catholic. An hour for our Lord. Well, I was so darn exhausted by the long journey that I snoozed during the mass. *guilty mode* So, i didnt took communion.

Before 6pm, I am finally home. I fell asleep as early as pass 8PM. Woke up at pass 11PM, munched on something my stomach to grind over the midnight and headed back to dreamland again. I ended sleeping more than 12 hours and so, I take a day off from work just to revitalized myself. Hehe

Now I have the energy to blog and post my thoughts until the wee hours of the night. hehe

Braceless

It's been a total of 3 years, 2 months, and 27 days. Today, i am emancipated by wires, metal bonds and rubbers.

I feel like i have no teeth at all...so light. hehe

But actually, i wanted to keep it. I'm missing that feeling now. Lips at *pout* mode always. :P
Having braces is like being "so young". Patwi-tums, pa-cute, feeling Kolehiyala.

Whew! I remember the pain, the adversities i've gone through.
Not able to masticate my fav food. And I always have this "Singaw".. eeeewwwww *sakit* :-(

But it was over. Now i just have to face the single wire retainers for 6 months to a year.

One thing for sure, I will still smile my heart out.

Here's the proof :
