The Birthday that was....

All the while, i told him that there will be no present for him on his birthday. And as the "pakunswelo" i promised, i made him 3 e-Cards. Yes, A for effort toh! I did take time to browse and customize 3 eCards. But knowing this ever papansin creature, (kunwari pa daw he was just checking on me...pero wag ka, he just wanted me the first to greet him a happy birthday!)
Duh!!! Di makapaghintay. So, para naman hindi mapahiya ng konti, i just simply greeted him a "happy birthday".

To make the gimik more effective, i bought 2 birthday cards from the bookstore (sunday, Sept 16) and i chose the one saying

outer message:

"sorry ha, wala talaga akong regalo para sa iyong kaarawan....card lang na bumabati ng Happy birthday kaibigan..."

Inner message:

"Samantalang yung iba, patext-text lang!"

So, the 18th was a busy day for me attending to meetings outside the office and doing my regular routine at work. He picked me up few minutes past 6. Outside the office, i told him that we go home straight (but that was part of the plan to make him pissed...hehehe). I made an excuse that I wasn't hungry. And yes! I was successful making him irritated.

We are walking past our bldg when i blurted out that I have a surprise for him. Quickly, his eyes glittered as if nabuhayan ng loob that he will not go home empty handed. So, i gave him this small cute greeting card. Hahaha! I can still remember the disappointment on his face as he finished reading it.

So as we stride the street going to corner streets of Dela Rosa and Amorsolo, i can't believed he blustered about me not doing any effort of getting him any descent gift apart from the eCards and the actual Birthday card...Ranting that "mabuti pa yung mga inaanak mo, hindi mo nakakalimutan bilhan ng gift, samantalang ako! Ako! BF mo naman ako! Anu ba naman?!"

Tsk tsk tsk...super kawawa...hehehe. Nakisama pa ang bad weather that night. It rain hard and we had a hard time getting a cab as well. That time, i'm thinking of bringing him to TOSH because of the cozy atmosphere and the place is normally not to jam-packed. But the rain+no gift+time+hunger made Mr. Swave wavy 100x upset. (Hihi. Me just smiled and was relaxed waiting for the ride to come).

After 20mins or so, still no empty cab. So when came an FX, i immediately hailed it. Plan no. 1 which was to go to TOSH, suddenly disappeared and replaced by us going to Giligans for a few swigs. But since i like to have some pasta, Mr. Wavymoks suggested for us to go to Italianis instead.

So off we went to G3. Good heavens, A has a 500 worth of GC at Italianis. Haha! The Certified Mr. K talaga (stands for Kuripot) Sticky rice...yeah boy bring it on! *wink*

So inside the resto, we ordered some salad, pasta, fish and fruit shakes to share to fill our growling tummies. While waiting for the food to be served, A checks on what's inside my Charles & Keith paper bag. Cors, i told him it's my Charles & Keith shoes. But he kept on checking on the other stuff inside until he discovered my little secret, wrapped in a National bookstore plastic bag. Hay, super pakialamero talaga. So keen on checking any gift for him. So, the plan of making him 10 million super bwisit did not happen. Nonetheless, when he opened the box, napawi agad ang lungkot sa mga labi ni Mokong at napalitan ng matamis na ngiti. hehehe

Cors i had something for him that he surely likey...and can be used in the office. I've been thinking of it for 3 months!

And when we're almost finished eating, the waiters sung a medly of cool and kwela birthday song for him and gave him a birthday plate with
2 scoops of vanilla ice cream topped with 1 blue candle and scribbled the word "Happy Birthday Adrian!"

Nwei, the day served it's purpose. I hope you had a very happy birthday Honey....mwah! mwah! mwah!
